On 22 September The Celtic Tales Chronicles will be one of three podcasts featuring in a live panel discussion in Galway City Library, as part of Culture Night 2023.
The three podcasters on the panel are:
Kerry Graham, co-host of The Celtic Tales Chronicles
Richard Loftus, co-host of The Shnug Podcast
Andy Gaffney, host of Promenade

The event is hosted by Barbara Nic Dhonnacha, and organised by Caroline Rowan, Executive Librarian of Galway City Library/Leabharlann Chathair na Gaillimhe.

The Wicked Skull Thief of Inishbofin (Part Two - Human Zoos)

In this episode Kerry and Rab take a deep dive into the history of Human Zoos in Ireland. From the early 19th century to the early 20th century black people where exhibited in Ireland for the entertainment of white audiences. CONTENT WARNING: Some of the subject matter is difficult to say the least, so just be aware of that.

Inishbofin monk kidnapped by Sky Demons (discussion & live show)

This episode features a live recording of Rab retelling a Medieval LGBT sex comedy that includes the tale of an Inishbofin monk kidnapped by Sky Demons.  Rab came across the story as he and Kerry were researching the next part of The Wicked Skull Thief of Inishbofin. Kerry and Rab also discuss the background to the medieval tale, and how it was cancelled by the newly independent Irish state.
